About our Rescue and Sponsorship Program
| Here at Paddington Station we try to rescue unwanted horses which otherwise they are destined
for "not so happy ending" auction, or worse. Often these horses have been excellent show or riding horses and their only crime is that they no longer able to compete at these levels.
We get many calls about rescuing horses, and of course the plight of the Premarin foals is never far from our minds.
Literally thousands of these foals are slaughtered each fall to be eaten in many European countries.
Saving these foals coast around $750.00 which includes transportation from Canada. If you would like to
contribute to this fund let us know, you could be a very worthwhile experience. Many of these foals make
good english or western riding prospects and are successful in the show ring.
At present we have several "unwanted horses" who will live out their days here, and are available for sponsorship. For a yearly contribution starting at $25 for a partial sponsor to $250 for a sole sponsor of a horse, you would get a quarterly newsletter, a picture of "your horse" and may come and visit your horse by appointment. any donation would of course be very welcome. Some of the horses available are seen below, more photos will be added, keep checking!
